Ukraine's Official 'Kill List' – Opinion
Ukraine is using their 'kill list' with impunity and in some sectors of the west, is being supported and 'cheered-on' as just another tool of war.
There is a Ukrainian web site, Myrotvorets ironically meaning “Peacemaker” that lists private citizens, journalists and celebrities, who question or criticize the Ukrainian government in their role in the current war with Russia.
One open's the page to find an image of dead Russians in various stages of decomposition. Those with more sensitive dispositions will cringe in silent horror at these pictures.
What is most disturbing about this website is it has published the personal information of those on the list. This would include phone numbers, addresses, employment information as well as the same personal information of their family members. In the internet world we call this Doxing. A strategy to silent one's personal and political enemies by publishing their personal information in order to destroy their reputations and eventually their lives.
The publication/list of those individuals opposing a certain government in power is a well used tool for authoritarian governments intent on obliterating any opposition. The more famous regime who used this strategy was the Nazis before and during WWII. The authorities depend on their citizens to “snitch' on their neighbors. As is well known the Nazi regime targeted Jews, communists, artists writers, academics and those people with any hint of decent. One reads about the Latin American countries whose “kill squads” rampaged through towns and villages immediately murdering all political opposition. Historically, the regimes that really stand out are Chile, El Salvador and Bolivia.
This 'kill list' strategy is and has been a tool of fascist governments for at least a century.

Run by the Ukrainian government, the site was first launched by Ukrainian politician Georgy Tuka. According to sources, despite protests by the UN, G7 ambassadors and EU human rights groups the site remains up and is used at check points throughout Ukraine.
There are approximately 4,508 journalists (so far) whose personal information is published on the site. In a barbarous display of psychological intimidation, once a person has been “liquidated” a red NO sign is splashed across their image.
American and UK personalities have appeared on the list including Roger Waters of Pink Floyd fame. Waters is known for is activism to free Julian Assange, a proponent of Palestinian rights, pointing out the crimes of the apartheid state of Israel. He has also pointed out the 2014 war in Ukraine against the Donbas area of Ukraine where 14,000 Russian speaking Ukrainians have been killed. Added to the list is American Scott Ritter who was one of the weapon inspectors in the Iraq war. He has been called a Russian propagandist, a Putin puppet when he only reveals the views of both sides of the war. The man's personal information has been published which should at least raise the eyebrows of the American authorities – this flagrant attack on a American citizen should be shouted from the roof tops, though there has been only silence.
It should be obvious to most, at least thinking human beings, that the Myrotvorets center and their Kill List website is at least criminal in its doxing, but more so for journalists and citizens, a violation of free speech and freedom of the press.
This (NGO) web site is a tool of totalitarian regimes from days past, and should be taken down immediately for the safety of innocent human beings.
