Overdue RANT on America/Israel’s War in the Middle East.

The corporate news reporting of Israel’s year of destruction in Gaza and currently their relentless onslaught upon Lebanon has been and continues to be biased and thoroughly bending on the side of propaganda.  

Earlier this week in Australia our PM, Anthony Albanese, addressed Parliament, sounding as if he was reading a directive from the US State Department. Australia has no foreign policy; it only has America’s foreign policy. That should be evident to anybody who has followed world history since the end of WWII. When the US starts a war, conflict, or incursion anywhere in the world, you can be sure Australia will be right behind them with guns and bombs blazing across the planet’s landscape.  

The chicken hawks in the US and Australia would call me a peace monger. War is wrong on every level. One can always negotiate for peace before violence and prevent war. To state that to make peace one must make war is a fallacy...and an excuse. 

The Hamas attack last October 7 was terrible and brutal. The countless opportunities for Israeli PM Netanyahu to negotiate a release of their hostages has been virtually ignored by him. (In the first few months of the onslaught on Gaza, the IDF reported killing Hamas’ leading negotiator. This says it all). When people this week mourned the death of Israelis and the remaining hostages still in Hamas custody, should be blaming their Prime Minister. Thousands upon thousands of Palestinians have been slaughtered because this war criminal has one focus. And that focus is Israel’s absolute domination of the Middle East.  

When the US State Department feigns ignorance about Israeli intentions and their unspeakable, mass murders in Gaza and currently in Lebanon, they are lying. It is believed that 68% of the weapons that Israeli’s have used to demolish Gaza and currently Beirut has been supplied by the US. (Australia’s weapon contribution to Israel is secret). 

It is common knowledge to those aware of modern history, that the American Neo Conservatives desire total dominance in the middle east. If you doubt this statement, read their literature. Israel is the US’s pointed spear toward absolute power in the region.  

Australian Corporate Media Propaganda Hacks. 

There is no doubt in my mind that the Australian media is under the control of certain state actors. It has reached the point that watching the Australian Brodcasting Corporation is akin to reading the early 20^th century Soviet Union newspaper, Pravda. The coverage of the middle east “conflict” is cleverly spun and blatantly one sided.  

 My concern are the thousands of innocent deaths caused by Israel’s incessant bombing of the region. That said, when the ABC argues with a pro-Palestinian protestor that no genocide has occurred because the International Court of Justice has yet to make a ruling, the bias is obvious. Let us be clear, the talking heads and most experts on Australian State Television (including corporate stations) are not interested in the truth, but only pushing the party line.  

Israel is one of Australia’s allies by US proxy. 

Therefore, it is understandable that our state media would be slanted and nonsensical. For example, our mainstream coverage has been about Australian Lebanese citizens finding transport out of Lebanon. This is an important story considering by remaining in Beirut, you can lose your life. What is not emphasized is these Australians are fleeing from Israeli bombs – the bombs made by the US. Lebanon was safe before Israel invaded and began destroying this sovereign nation.  

It is important to move outside the corporate media bubble to achieve any semblance of truth about this unprecedented war.  

Israel Hypocrisy.  

It should be evident to anyone who has a vague understanding of international law that Israel has been committing war crimes over the last 12 months. This intentional murder of civilians during war is a criminal act according to the Geneva Convention of 1949.  

 Civilians are to be protected from murder, torture or brutality, and from discrimination on the basis of race, nationality, religion or political opinion. Hospital and safety zones may be established for the wounded, sick, and aged, children under 15, expectant mothers and mothers of children under seven. 

When Israeli intelligence locates an enemy (usually one person) living in an apartment block inhabited by 100’s of innocent civilians, (mothers, and mothers of children under seven), will blow-up the entire building to assassinate that one enemy. This is a war crime and has been happening in Gaza and Lebanon on a daily to weekly bases. They justify this action as self-defense. The members of the IDF also justify the action by calling their enemies cowards and dogs for their enemy “hiding” amongst a civilian area.  

There is an Israeli military/intelligence installation located at the heart of Tel Aviv which they appropriately call, “Fortress of Zion.” This is a military bunker situated underground, and above, innocent Israeli men women and children. The Fortress of Zion is no secret. My point is that it is “hiding” below innocent Israeli civilians.  

The hypocrisy is staggering! 

Diplomacy is Dead. And Long Live the Wars. 

For many years, the United States has abandoned diplomacy and has replaced it with deadly force. Israel has followed their example to the letter.  

What is disturbing is many governments, particularly those under the iron fist of the United States, continue to ignore or justify Israeli war crimes over at least the last 12 months.  

It is evident that the US and Israel do not want peace in the middle east. Israel invaded Lebanon, a sovereign nation, murdering thousands of innocents, and the “free press” spun it as somehow justified, somehow right.  

As I have stated many times, one can always negotiate peace before violence and prevent war.  

The United States, Israel and their allies have other plans in mind.
