In the news this week, Australia announced the possibility of Japan joining the Australian, United Kingdom and United States “military defensive"” (AUKUS) alliance. This is a war machine coalition to build nuclear submarines and other weapon technology including AI, to be completed by 2040.
I believed AUKUS was a bad idea in the first place, obviously pushed by Australia’s allies, US, and UK, to ensure a defensive strategy in the southern hemisphere. A defensive strategy against whom? One does not need to be a geopolitical genius to know this alliance is directly against China.
For Japan to join this western “defensive trio” has caused China to be “genuinely concerned.”
I do not blame them.
US military bases throughout the south pacific surround China in present time.
As is well known to many, the US has been sword rattling around China for many years.
Tiawan is the chosen ‘pawn’ by the US to start a war with China.
Recently, China has been more aggressive in the South China Sea, blowing cannon balls over the bow of any perceived threat to their national security. This is always portrayed in the western legacy media as proof of China’s war-like intent. This is absolutely absurd.
The irony is China is one of Australia’s main trading partners to the number of billions of dollars. Economically, both China and Australia have a great trading relationship.
It is the United States who despise this relationship and have bullied Australia into this alliance despite our recent governments efforts to reestablish economic relations with China.
To further this “sword rattling,” now AUKUS wants to bring Japan into this war alliance.
It should well known to those who can read and understand history, that China and Japan have had a bad relationship for centuries, particularly after WWII. So, to bring Japan into AUKUS, for the Chinese, almost amounts to an act of war.
And, indeed, our current government in Australia is elated, only seeing the short-term economic benefits.
There is no long-term benefit for Japan to join AUKUS nor is it in Australia’s benefit to surround our major trading partner with nuclear submarines!
To follow the United States into WWIII because of a short-term financial gain is insane.
The US is on a mission to rule the planet and, by the way, is failing at a miserably.
Australia should maintain diplomatic relations with China and continue our current lucrative relationship. And for Japan to join this elite war-club of neocon clowns is a future death sentence.
A possible death sentence for us all.
